Healed, Empowered, and Rooted: Girls address body shaming and healthy relationships
This week, our HER Girls Club gathered at City Social, the beautiful outdoor restaurant in Chitotimba, Victoria Falls, for a powerful session of open conversation and sisterhood.

HER stands for Healed, Empowered, and Rooted — and that’s exactly what the meeting was about.
The girls took the lead and highlighted key issues affecting them in society today, including:
- Body shaming and building self-confidence
- Maintaining and keeping healthy relationships with peers and family
- Peer pressure and making values-based decisions
- Mental health awareness and finding safe spaces to talk
- Self-worth and owning your voice

Set against the relaxed vibe of City Social, the girls spoke freely, listened to each other, and left feeling seen and supported. It was a reminder that when we create safe spaces, girls are ready to heal, grow, and lead.
At HER Girls Club, we are committed to raising young women who are Healed from past wounds, Empowered to make bold choices, and Rooted in who they are.
Thank you to City Social for hosting us, and to every girl who showed up with courage. This is just the beginning.
